With a vision to create a safer, more cheerful world for the solo flyer and over 30 years experience caring for children, I formed Children’s Flight Chaperone Limited.
As a professional licensed chaperone and parent, my love for children and natural ability to bond with them has played a vital role in my long career. The thought of launching my own travel chaperone company never occurred to me until I witnessed an isolated child, looking glum and unhappy at an airport.
An air stewardess who was accompanying the small child was also tending to other business. This sight moved me to take steps to improve the travelling experience of children flying alone, and to help airlines with the responsibility of chaperoning unaccompanied minors.
I did not know whether the child was a first-time solo traveller, or a frequent one, but what I did realise was that he needed more attention.
I wished he had someone by his side to give him some comfort: somebody to talk to or to simply share a smile with. I decided to launch an independent flight chaperone service where the chaperones were not just vigilant professionals, but also great company!
