Our Children’s Flight Chaperone service is for children aged 3 to 16 and our Caring Flight Companion service is for anyone aged 17 and above, i.e., those who legally require an adult with them in order to travel; elderly or individuals who need assistance on their journey; or those who would like company during their travel.

We take numerous measures to ensure the upmost security and safety of your child:

All Children’s Flight Chaperones have undergone criminal checks, hold a DBS certificate, are certified in child-safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid (Level 3) and Emergency First Aid training.

During the booking process we will need to verify legal documents of both those dropping off children to us, and those collecting them, in order to legitimise the booking.

On the day(s) of travel, for security, our chaperones will provide their legal photo ID to the person dropping off the child.

For the duration of the journey, both the child and chaperone will wear an emergency ID wristband, linking them together, and displaying the Children’s Flight Chaperone contact details, should an emergency situation arise.

Upon arrival, the designated person collecting the child needs to provide the chaperone with genuine photo-identification before the child can be released into their care. Without photo ID, we cannot hand over the child, and as such will safeguard them until it is provided.

Yes. We assign chaperones based on an adult-to-child ratio up to 1:2 per individual booking. We also assign chaperones to parents/guardians travelling with multiple children on a 1:3 basis.

Some examples: two parents, one chaperone and seven children; one teacher, two chaperones and nine children; one guardian, one chaperone and two children.

Yes. We provide our clients with any special or medical assistance they need while they are at the airport, and also during the duration of their flight, such as wheelchair assistance. Our chaperones are not nurses but have received first-aid training in order to get the medical attention you/your child needs in the event of an emergency. Our chaperones are trained in handling any dietary concerns and minor medical requirements you/your child may have.

Let us know at the time of booking, if you require any special or medical assistance.

Clients will be asked to drop off children at a pre-arranged point in the airport Departures where we will be there to meet and receive them. Clients picking up their child at their destination will do so from Arrivals, unless arranged otherwise: we can drop them off at another location beyond the airport, if requested by the client.

The same applies for other forms of travel, where all drop-off and pick-up points will be arranged beforehand.

Parent/legal guardian(s) will be required to sign a legal document (in some countries, notarised), authorising us to accompany their child. Before booking our service, clients permitting their child to travel alone under the guidance of a chaperone should learn about the travel laws and requirements of their country regarding children travelling without a parent and legal guardian.

As with all travel, visas are required for entry into certain countries. The Travel Counsellors are on hand, if you need any advice.
