What Others are Saying About Us
We are forever grateful to Michelle & her team for guiding us through our first filming experience.
When we found out that our son David had been cast in a major BBC drama series, we were delighted for him but straight away my wife & I started to panic.
The show was being filmed on the other side of the world for 6 months in tropical conditions. David has various medical needs and we really did start to wonder if we were doing the right thing when we signed the contract. Our first concern was who would look after him on set & make sure his medical needs were being met on a daily basis. We need not have worried, from day one, Michelle set our minds at rest by assuring us that she would look after David. Every day Michelle would report back to us with a detailed report of David’s day. She made sure that provisions were made for David on set to accommodate his medical needs.
Michelle not only set our minds at rest but she also became someone who David really enjoyed spending time with. I really hope that we get to work with Michelle in the future as she is extremely capable, kind hearted & professional.
We needed to find a tutor who could do two months on tour with us after someone else could not do it at short notice. Michelle helped us find the perfect person for the job quickly and without any fuss and our tutor was great!
I’ve worked on location with Michelle’s team and have also booked them for a screening launch, they’ve been an absolute pleasure to work with. They’re a professional, knowledgeable and really experienced team so I know we’re in safe hands when working with them.
Michelle is an excellent chaperone. She takes her role very seriously and the children she's working with enjoy her company. She also understands the stresses and strains of a production and works well within the wider team. I would definitely work with Michelle again.
Michelle is a true professional - kind, caring and supportive with the child actors always having their best interests at heart. Would not hesitate in recommending her.
I worked with Michelle on a number of TV jobs, either with Michelle providing services herself as a chaperone or sourcing one of the chaperones she employs. She'd always be my first call because of her diligence and as I knew I could trust her implicitly. If you're looking for a chaperone service, then look no further.
I have worked with Michelle on several TV productions including The Worst Witch for CBBC / Netflix and Biff & Chip for CBeebies. Whether she is the overnight chaperone, looking after teenagers working away from home, or entertaining 5-year-olds on their first ever TV experience, she is meticulous and professional, caring and empathetic. While understanding the pressures of production, she never fails to put the children first and will negotiate quietly and firmly to ensure that their needs are met. Children of all ages respond to her warmth, humour and genuine understanding. Knowing that Michelle is the lead chaperone on a production is always reassuring for both producers and parents.
Michelle Carroll and her team are professional, friendly and put 110% into any job given to them. From long term dramas to ad hoc live action days. Nothing is ever too much trouble and as a production team we always feel in safe hands with Michelle and her team on the ground.
Michelle has always provided a fantastic service to Blue Peter. Whether it's working with us directly in studio, or providing a highly experienced, professional and trusted chaperone to work with us, we always know we're in safe hands.
Using Children's Flight Chaperone has made my job so much easier. Michelle is reliable, friendly and provides a brilliant service and brilliant chaperones. Always my go to on new jobs!
On the numerous shoots I have booked Michelle on to chaperone with our child actors, she has been nothing but kind, caring and professional. I feel reassured knowing the children are in good hands and that the correct precautions/procedures are in place when she is on one of my sets. It takes the pressure off me immensely knowing that she can be trusted within this position, and she communicates exceptionally well when there are changes or complications, which are always bound to occur when working in television.
Not only is Michelle herself an exceptional chaperone, but the people she manages are too. There have been occasions where we are shooting in various locations around the UK and Michelle has been able to source a chaperone for us without fail. I can recommend Michelle and her services to pretty much anyone within a similar industry and hope to continue working together in the future!
Michelle is a joy to work with... for both the kids and production! She genuinely cares and wants to create the best environment for everybody on set. She's flexible and approachable and takes it upon herself to nurture a good culture. She fed back where things could improve, and she guided and motivated all the other chaperones, setting a high standard. She was by far the favourite chaperone of the kids (...and parents ...and directors!).
I needed a flying companion to bring my son back to the UK, which was proving extremely difficult due to Covid-19. I had spent a lot of time researching the regulations, which were changing daily, but then I found Caring Flight Companion on the internet. I can't express how relieved I felt after talking to Michelle. She is a very knowledgeable lady and nothing is too much trouble for her. She is proactive and gives attention to detail, offering a bespoke service. She provided daily updates on the progress she was making and answered every email and call.
This was a very worrying time for me but Michelle made me feel as though nothing was too much trouble for her and I can't thank her enough for all the help and support she gave me throughout this difficult time.
Michelle looked after my son Sam for 2 series of the CBBC comedy All At Sea in 2013 and 2014. Sam had to be away from home Sunday to Friday every week for a period of 3 months at a time. At the age of 12 this is quite daunting for a child, and I was concerned about him being homesick, as well as being kept “on track” with things like diet, behaviour, wellbeing, schoolwork and generally all of the things that parents deal with and worry about on a daily basis. Trusting the care of your child to a complete stranger is also daunting. Having only spoken to Michelle over the telephone with no opportunity to meet up before she arrived to travel with Sam on his first week of filming (due to production’s immediate start date), I was understandably nervous.
Without doubt, Michelle made the whole experience much more comfortable for Sam and for me than it might otherwise have been had she not been there. I would have had absolutely no hesitation in requesting her to chaperone Sam again should the need have arisen.
Michelle has been nothing short of BRILLIANT to work with for many years. She not only places the welfare of the child as her primary focus but has a clear understanding of what is trying to be achieved and is an active participant in helping everyone reach their common goals. Children of all ages are extremely comfortable in her presence, her communication/relationships with parents/carers is superb and her knowledge of all the working and care guidelines is second-to-none. In short, Michelle is an absolute joy to have on any team and you can be assured that the children for whom you are ultimately responsible for, are in the safest of hands.
As a 17 year old, moving to a big city like Manchester without my dad was daunting. It was my first professional job as an actor and I had never stayed away from home for more than a few nights at this point. It was a big change for me and I didn’t know what to expect of a ‘chaperone’.
So when I met Michelle on my first night I was so relieved. We chatted for a bit and she seemed to genuinely want to get to know each other, which was good because we had 4 months of living in the same apartment. She was friendly without being imposing and had a lot of great stories to tell to put my mind to rest. On the longer, more challenging days it was nice to have Michelle there when I got home, to confide in or just have a chat and watch one of the classic movies from her extensive collection.
Michelle is kind and knowledgeable. She has years of experience and stories to tell, but she’s also just a truly lovely woman, and I was genuinely sad to wake up on my 18th birthday, which happened whilst we were still shooting, to find that she was no longer needed. Michelle was a friend more than a chaperone but also an adult that I could rely on whilst I didn’t have my dad there with me.
I truly treasure the months that we had.
Michelle cared for both my children when they were young. Her friendliness and caring nature had them always happy in her company.
She has a wealth of knowledge and experience with regard to childcare and issues of safeguarding, and she has always made childcare and their wellbeing a priority.
Michelle is a fantastic chaperone! We first met when she chaperoned children on CBeebies, The Let's Go Club. Her warm and friendly nature stood out immediately: as I saw her in action with the children I realised she’s not only friendly but her years of experience means she ensures the children are kept safe and happy at all times! So, naturally, when I needed a chaperone for my own child Michelle was my first choice!
Michelle is trustworthy and professional and I would use her again in a heart beat!
As a family, we have worked with Michelle for many years and she is my daughter’s favourite childcarer. We first met when I was working for the BBC: I had to give a talk but my daughter was asleep when I went on stage. Although I was nearby and my daughter awoke to a stranger, Michelle’s manner was so kind and reassuring that they hit it off straight away.
My daughter and I are very close and one of the reasons that she enjoyed Michelle’s company so much is because Michelle is so attentive. She brings a wide range of toys and activities for the children she hosts and as she got to know my daughter she would tailor the activities to the things my daughter really liked.
Over the years Michelle has been our first choice. As my daughter has grown up and gone to school we have needed less chaperones but we still like to meet with Michelle and she is my first point of call for our childcare needs. I would recommend Michelle to any family; she really goes the extra mile to keep children safe and happy.
